Short answer: For Kuala Lumpur and the West Coast, December to February is the sweet spot — dry-ish, buzzing with Chinese New Year energy, and flights are often cheaper post-Christmas. May to July is my personal favourite: less rain, cooler evenings, and the Malaysia Mega Sale kicks off in June. For Borneo and East Coast islands, aim for April to October. And 2026? Best year in a decade to visit — Visit Malaysia Year 2026 means events, deals, and festivities literally every month.
